Tactile 3D improves upon traditional treebased file system interfaces. It is more than a 3D replacement for your 2D desktop. It is an organization system for entire hierarchies of information. It will not try to takeover your current desktop and runs as a standard windows application.

The Tactile 3D UI allows you to roam around a 3D space and place objects where you want. Each object gives clues as to its contents by emitting sounds and mapping thumbnails and icons onto certain faces. Low CPU Sleep Mode
When Tactile 3D doesn't have focus it goes to sleep. It basically uses 0 in this state; or you can set it to update at a slower fps. The neat thing is, it's still very responsive. It's a very light sleeper. If, for example, a window is dragged overtop of Tactile 3D, it responds immediately when a redraw is needed and only when one is needed. Aston Secure Desktop is a powerful security build of Aston 1.x branch. It possesses all the features of regular Aston shell, but constrains the ability to alter the admindefined settings. This restricted version is highly recommended to Internetcafes and kiosks administrators, colleges and companies authorities, and parents willing to find their Desktop settings unaltered after their kids incursions. This is also a perfect way out in other situations when users' ability to customize their working area needs to be limited.
Aston Secure Desktop has two modes User mode and Admin mode.

In order to switch to the Admin mode one needs to press the predefined hotkey combination CtrlWinDel and enter the password. From within the Admin mode one can set the programs and applications to be available from the Main Menu, both Toolbars, Panels regular and vertical and Desktop. 40tude Time is an application that contains 5 programs Clock, Synchronizer, Wallpaper, Calendar and Screensaver.

The central application in 40tude Time is the clock, located either in the Windows tray or if you have a multiline taskbar below the Windows start button, using otherwise unused space. The clock as shown below indicates the current date and the local time.

Clicking on the clock cycles through the current times in other timezones, as defined in the clock options. Up to 9 locations and there timezones can be set there. The image on the left shows the cycle for the local time and two remote locations.
Additionally, the hint window that pops up when the mouse is hovering over the clock, shows the current date and the times at all locations.

The time synchronizer gets the current time and date from an Internet timeserver and corrects your computers system time.
